All merchandise is subject to California Sales Tax as required by law; items are created in the City of Goleta, State of California (8.75%). Orders shipped out-of-state do not incur California Sales Tax.

Pricing depends on complexity of design, materials, and quantity. We can tailor the scope of work to respect your budget. Communication and clarity are key.

We offer complimentary initial consultations of up to 30 minutes via phone or Zoom.
Additional consultation services may be billed at $100/hour (prorated).

Setup service for custom orders starts at $30.
All orders are to be confirmed with a non-refundable deposit of 50% due prior to work commencing, and are to be paid in full prior to delivery; shipping charges will be added to the final amount due. “Work” includes ordering any materials (e.g., blank shirts, wine glasses) required for the custom order. Exceptions to this rule are available for orders over One Thousand Five Hundred U.S. Dollars ($1,500) and must be confirmed in writing.
Payment is preferred via cash, check (payable to CUSTOM MATTERS), and Zelle (hello@custom-matters.com); payment is also available via Venmo (@custom-matters), Paypal (@custom-matters), and credit card (through the invoice link).

Copyright will be respected. Clients affirm that they own the rights to (or have written permission to use) the artwork they seek to have produced. By placing an order with CUSTOM MATTERS, the purchaser represents the authority to purchase and distribute merchandise with the names, logos, trademarks and copyrights provided and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless CUSTOM MATTERS, its affiliates and representatives from and against all claims, liabilities and expenses arising out of or relating to an actual or alleged infringement of any trademark, copyright, service mark, etc.
Preferred formats for artwork include: .cdr, .emb, .svg, .dst, .ai. Vector files preferred. Images should be at least 300 dpi; if you have questions about your artwork’s format, please reach out to us. Setup fees may be higher for more complex designs or for designs where the artwork is provided in low-resolution (e.g, as a bitmap (.bmp) or .png).
All production files and any original designs created by CUSTOM MATTERS represent our work product and remain our intellectual property.

CUSTOM MATTERS offers for decoration a curated collection of quality garments and drinkware from wholesale brands that we trust. Any client-provided blanks will be decorated at client’s own risk, after client’s signed approval of design, color & materials. In case of an error in production, whether human or mechanical, CUSTOM MATTERS will replace any client-provided blank with a comparable wholesale garment from in-house inventory.
All vinyl, rhinestone and embroidered designs are decorated directly by CUSTOM MATTERS. When screen print transfers are needed, the transfers are provided by third-party vendors whom we trust; nevertheless, CUSTOM MATTERS ultimately cannot guarantee their workmanship.
Slight variations between individual items may arise due to the hand-crafted nature of individual embellishment. Should you find an item to be significantly different from what was discussed, you may contact us at hello@custom-matters.com to discuss remedy.
Packaging of individual garments in high-clarity polypropylene sleeves is available for a surcharge of $2/item.

Merchandise will usually be ready to ship within 7-10 business days from receipt of deposit.
We ship via USPS and UPS. Delivery is available within Santa Barbara/Goleta for $5.
If you need your order expedited, Rush services are available for a fee (see below), and prepayment in full is required before work commences. Rush services are always subject to availability of materials. Please contact us as soon as possible (hello@custom-matters.com) if your order requires Rush service.
The following Rush surcharges are based on the time between receipt of full payment and when the item is ready to ship. Weekends and federal holidays are not included in these timeframes:
- Ready to ship within 1 business day of receipt of payment: 100% surcharge.
- Ready to ship within 2 business days of receipt of payment: 50% surcharge.
- Ready to ship within 3-4 business days of receipt of payment: 25% surcharge
- Ready to ship within 5-6 days of receipt of payment: 10% surcharge
